Gemma graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Notre Dame in 2016 and joined Butlers as a Senior Law Clerk in December 2016. She then obtained her postgraduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law whilst understudying our Senior Lawyers at Butlers. Gemma was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in October 2017.
During her time as a law clerk, Gemma enjoyed working alongside our Senior Lawyers on complex property matters, including overseas assets, businesses and trusts.
While at university, Gemma worked in the not-for-profit sector, supporting people with disabilities. She gained experience in boutique Family Law firms and volunteered at Law Access. Gemma was a rare graduate who was very passionate about Family Law from the beginning and uses this passion to develop excellent relationships with her clients.
Gemma is particularly passionate about assisting those with special needs and mental health issues, either directly or indirectly.
Outside of practice Gemma has a keen interest in sport and fitness as well as travelling.
