Whilst completing his law degree at Murdoch, Elliot was an active member of his university community, including the Murdoch Law Society committee, university sports, acting as a student mentor and successfully competing in law mooting and other competitions.
Elliot was drawn to family law and after graduating in mid-2010 working for a boutique family law practice for almost 7 years before joining the Team at Butlers in early 2017.
Over the past 7 years, Elliot has gained experience in all aspects of Family Law, including overseas clients, on an even split of children’s and financial related family law matters. Elliot is able to devise stratergy early on a matter, providing advice to the client and working with them to ensure the best possible outcome with their matter. Elliot enjoys Court work and advocacy.
Over the past 7 years, Elliot has gained experience in many child relocation matters, as well as custodial disputes, parenting rights and arrangements, de-facto and general partnership issues. Elliot also specialises in matters with financial and complex property-related issues, including some complex trust issues and overseas assets.
Further, Elliot has taken special interest in Children's access cases involving Grandparents to ensure relationships with grandchildren are able to continue beyond a Family Law separation.
