Alodie has worked as a Legal Assistant/PA at Butlers since March 2019.  Alodie has experience working in law firms as a bookkeeper for over 2 years, and is excited to expand her skillset in this new role.

Outside of the office, Alodie has a keen interest in all types of sport (especially football) and loves to travel.

In 2017 Tawnee graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Laws after receiving the Harry Perkins Scholarship in 2013 to study.

During her degree, Tawnee was selected to study four international intensive units at Ghent University in Belgium.  Ghent University is one of the top 70 universities’ in the world for Law. 

Tawnee enrolled into College of Law in March 2017 and completed her studies in October 2017 receiving a Diploma in Legal Practice. During College of Law, Tawnee worked as a law clerk at a family law firm in Perth CBD.  On 15 December 2017 Tawnee was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia as a Legal Practitioner and began working as a Solicitor for the same firm.

Tawnee was a regular volunteer at Community Legal Centres each week and on 4 March 2019, Tawnee was admitted to the High Court of Australia.

Tawnee grew up in the Wheatbelt on a farm and loves returning home when possible. Tawnee plays various sports and particularly enjoys competitive netball.

Emma graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business from Edith Cowan University. She then obtained her postgraduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University.  Emma was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in February 2019.

While finalising her studies, Emma worked in the not-for-profit sector in Family Dispute Resolution, conducting intakes and assessments in parenting and property matters. Emma went on to become a Team Leader of the FDR program, assisting to case manage and co-facilitate mediations. Emma also became a Child Consultant in this time and facilitated the child inclusive practice, allowing for the voice of the children to be heard and taken into consideration during negotiations.

Emma’s previous line of work was in social services and involved supporting people at risk of homelessness, people in need of advocacy with the Department of Communities and by providing access to other services such as Counselling, Children’s Counselling and support for victims of Domestic Violence. Working in social work allowed Emma to develop a humanistic, non-judgemental and impartial approach to her work.

Emma is particularly passionate about assisting those who are vulnerable and in need of support with complex issues. Emma also derives a lot of motivation from working with children and assisting families with overcoming the challenges of co-parenting post-separation.

Outside of practice Emma has a keen interest in fitness, travelling and volunteering at animal rescue facilities in her spare time.

Sebastian is a practical, personal lawyer. 

He graduated from the University of Western Australia a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce in 2016 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in May of 2018.

He has subsequently been entered on the Register of Practitioners in the High Court of Australia. 

Sebastian excels in delivering clear and concise advice to his clients, assisting them to resolve disputes as efficiently as possible. 

He strives to ensure that his clients are thoroughly advised of the options available to them and are able to make well-informed decisions. 

In his daily practice, Sebastian is highly focused on outcomes and is committed to achieving tangible results for his clients. Since his admission, Sebastian has practiced Family Law exclusively and has accrued hands-on experience in all areas of Family Law.

In his spare time, Sebastian enjoys rock-climbing, as well as spending quality time with his family, friends and his pet cavoodle, Aflie.

Tyler joined Butlers in March 2019 as a Law Clerk and specialises in Family Law matters as well as Wills and Estate. Tyler also assists the solicitors as much as possible with any other matters.

Tyler is currently studying his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) through the University of New England with the hope of completing his Honours.

Tyler has looked forward to becoming a Lawyer since he was 5 years old and is passionate about helping others who aren’t able to help themselves.
